Try Talos on your computer

A disposable trial only your computer can open, removed with one command.

Linux or macOS
curl -fsSL https://talosfleet.site/install.sh | sh -s -- --eval
Windows (PowerShell)
$env:TALOS_EVAL = "1"; irm https://talosfleet.site/install.ps1 | iex

What makes it a trial

Only this computer can open it: it listens on 127.0.0.1, not on the network. It lives in its own folder (~/talos-eval) with its own data, under its own Compose project (talos-eval), so it never touches a real Talos install on the same machine, and a real install never touches it. Because nobody else can reach it, the first visit creates your account directly, with no setup token.

Removing it

everything: containers, data, network and the folder
sh ~/talos-eval/remove-talos-eval.sh

# Windows
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File $HOME\talos-eval\remove-talos-eval.ps1

It asks before deleting the downloaded images (Enter keeps them, since a real install may use the same ones). Add --yes (-Yes on Windows) to remove everything without asking. It refuses to run anywhere but a trial folder, so it cannot remove a real install.

One trial at a time

Running the trial command again updates the trial. A trial does not turn into a real install: to keep using Talos, install it normally, without --eval.
