About this website

You are welcome to read, link to and quote these pages. The content, the Talos name and the triskelion mark belong to the project. Do not present the site or the mark as your own, and do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse something we have not seen.

No warranty

The information here is provided as-is and describes the software as we understand it at the time of writing. Capabilities marked beta on this site have been built but not proven against real targets, and we say so on the pages where that applies. Nothing here is a guarantee of fitness for any particular purpose, and nothing here is professional advice.

The software licence is separate — and not yet published

These terms cover the website only. The terms under which you may run, modify or redistribute Talos itself are set by the software licence, and that licence has not been published yet. Until it is, treat the software as all rights reserved and get in touch if you need clarity before deploying it somewhere that matters.

We would rather tell you the licence is undecided than pick one on a marketing page and have you rely on it.

There is no contract for a service here

Talos is self-hosted and there is nothing to subscribe to. No service level is offered, no fee is charged, and no hosted product exists. If that changes, service terms will be written for it — this page will not be quietly reinterpreted to cover them.

Who you are dealing with

Talos is an independent project, not a registered company. That is stated plainly on the about page too, because it affects what can reasonably be promised and it is better learned here than discovered later.
