ORACLE
Oracle Cloud and Fusion Apps, managed together.
OCI infrastructure (compute, object storage, stacks, databases, DNS, cost, Functions, OCIR and OKE) and the Fusion Applications estate that runs on top of it, in one project type rather than two consoles.
SEE IT RUN
THE MANUAL WAY
Where Oracle estates get hard.
THE TWO WORLDS
Infrastructure lives in the OCI console and Fusion lives in its own. The people who own one rarely have access to the other, and the problems sit between them.
THE REFRESH NOBODY SCHEDULED
Test needed a fresh copy of production before UAT. The refresh request was raised by email, and nobody could say when it would happen or whether it had.
THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW
Oracle’s quarterly update landed during a payroll run, because the notice went to an inbox nobody reads.
WHAT TALOS DOES
OCI and Fusion, as tracked work.
OCI inventory and compute
Compartments swept into one inventory, and instances started, stopped and resized as jobs with an audit entry.
Storage, databases and DNS
Object Storage buckets, database systems and OCI DNS zones and records, managed with the same verbs as the other clouds.
Stacks, Functions, OCIR and OKE
Terraform stacks with drift, Functions, container registry credentials and OKE clusters bridged into Kubernetes projects.
Fusion environment estate
Every Fusion environment, its version and its pod in one place, with production-to-test refreshes and administrator resets requested as jobs.
Fusion data plane
Scheduled ESS jobs, SCIM user management and BI Publisher reports, through each pod’s own REST API.
Maintenance warnings
An alert when a Fusion maintenance window is less than seven days away, so it lands in front of the people it affects.
HOW IT RUNS
Every action is a tracked job.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Managed together, because it is one estate.
OCI and Fusion depend on each other, so Talos manages them together rather than in separate tools. Environment operations (refreshes, resets, pod registration) go through Oracle’s Fusion environment service, and day-to-day operations (scheduled jobs, users, reports) go through each pod’s REST API, with the same permissions, jobs and audit trail as the infrastructure underneath.
RELATED CAPABILITIES
Attach one tenancy, read-only.
The first sweep changes nothing. Add a Fusion pod after, and both halves of the estate sit in one view.
